LED Lighting

LED pool lights have numerous advantages, but the most obvious one is aesthetic. Simply put, they look great. The quality of light, the even distribution of it, and the range of colors to choose from, make for appearance enchancing features that are pretty impressive.

LED Pool Light Generally, LED (light emitting diode) pool lights offer a fairly good number of fixed colors such as red, white, blue, green, magenta, etc. Additionally, they tend to offer a set of changing light programs that rotate through an astounding variety of colors. Some slowly change from one color to another, while others are set to more of a disco beat. Whatever mood you want, you'll likely find a fit within these choices.

Another benefit is durability. The lifespan of LED pool lights frequently runs 30,000 hours or more as compared to more like 5,000 hours for traditional incandescent bulbs. These cool running lights tend to use solid state technology, with no internal filament to wear out. Some are designed to continue to work even when a single LED fails.

Energy efficiency is superior with LED pool lighting. A popular model places its energy usage at 37 watts to create the equivalent light an incandescent version produces at 161 watts. Less energy usage equates to lower utility bills and less environmental impact.

Note that some LED pool lights can be set up to work with automation systems. In effect, you transfer programming and control of the light to your central control system.
